Held over two days at Easter, Live Large Festival was a glorious sun-filled weekend by the river, paired with delicious food and amazing entertainment. We loved entertaining all 15,000 of you! It inspired new things about what it means to live large and how this one idea brings us all together as a community.
We had a packed mainstage and workshop program that kept festival goers entertained from dawn to dusk (or at least from 10am both days!).
We listened to Australia’s best digeridoo player William Barton, and swung along with Three Handed Beat Bandits, rocked out to Melbourne’s Rudely Interrupted. We sung along with our very own Frank Sinatra (in the form of Tony Dee) and channelled our inner Karaoke King or Queen with Soulstice a cappella group.
The Voice veteran Tim McCallum fired up the crowds plus we had DefWill DJ, Bust A Move Dance Group, InsideOutside Dance Ensemble and more.
From BBQ ribs, buffalo wings, chilli dogs, cheeseburgers and pies, Carolina Kitchen had all your favourite American eats covered together with the Mr America food stall.
The Bun Mobile’s hand crafted steam buns, Ze Pickle’s hand pressed wagyu beef patties with maple smoked bacon delighted punters, along with other culinary delights including Dumpling Envy, How We Rolls gourmet rolls, Sweet Floz Churros, J’adore Les Crepes, The Popcorn Man, The Wrap Shack, Pipi Cucu, Krazy Lemon and more.
Those who love a great coffee powered up with a hit of caffeine at the Multicap Monte Lupo Café.
In between entertainment acts and delicious eats, festival goers wandered through our collection of bespoke market stalls.
From candles and jewellery, through to leather goods and homemade sweet treats, we had something for every taste. Thanks to The Canvas Art Factory, Little Birdy Cakes, The Canvas Art Factory, Page Turner, Wheel Adventures, Rhuma Boutique and the Superheroes and More team for joining in the Live Large Festival fun.
We helped you keep the smaller humans entertained with our range of free activities; from a free bouncy castle, face painting, to dance and drama workshops to channel their inner superstar, we were also proud to have a free Liberty Swing on site. It was great to catch up with the Easter Bunny on Sunday, too!
